Students were seen to control traffic at the traffic point of Boro Bazar Chourastar Mor in Chuadanga district town on Friday. They were also doing cleaning work and planting trees on the road dividers.
They were controlling the movements of vehicles at Chourastar Mor in Chaudanga district town as there was no traffic police. They were controlling the movements of battery-run auto rickshaws, engine-run auto rickshaws, engine-run vans, trucks and other vehicles at the intersection. They were not letting the public transports park on both sides of the road for picking up and dropping passengers.
They were also planting flower plants on the road divider and cleaning the dirt. If there were any garbage on the side of the road, they were cleaning them as well.
Students from various schools and colleges participated in these activities. Among the students who took part in the activities, the notables were Shahriar Siam, Mushifiqur Rahman, Sifullah Al Sadik, Afnan Maruf, Bibhor Fahim, Suman Sardar, Mahin Billah, Mahbubur Rahman Akash, Masud Emon, Shawkat Ali, Mezbaur Rahman, Nitu Islam, Nusrat Jahan Roza, Sadia Nur, Shahriar Shwapnil, Nahid Javed, Amit Hassan, Hamid Uddin, Parvez Bintu and Jahid Naved.
Shahriar Siam said the students are doing voluntary work to build a clean, corruption-free and discrimination-free Chuadanga. They want to work side by side with everyone to move the country forward during the recent unrest in the country, they said.
