Speakers at a meeting in Rajshahi called for ensuring quality education in all institutions to transform the students into worthy citizens.
“Only quality education can create skilled human resources and build up competent workforce for self employment or employers,” they said.
Speakers said this at a meeting held at Shaheed AHM Kamaruzzaman Zila Parishad Auditorium. The meeting was jointly organized by Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) and Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Rajshahi on the challenges of quality education on Saturday, reports BSS.
DSHE Director General Professor Syed Golam Faruque was present as chief guest while Chairman of Rajshahi Education Board Professor Mokbul Hossain was in the chair.
Principal of Rajshahi College Professor Habibur Rahman, DSHE Divisional Director Prof Kamal Hossain and its Deputy Directors Professor Nasir Uddin and Dr Shormin Ferdous Chowdhury also spoke.
Professor Syed Golam Faruque urged the teachers to come forward to make the institution level teaching-learning process more effective.
Pointing out the steps taken by the present government for improvement of quality education he said collective efforts of teachers are need for its success.
