The government has taken up initiatives to create skilled human resource for building a digital country. They have planned a number of high level training workshops to create skilled workers to transform the economy into an intellect based one

The government plans to spread the training program at the grass root level through various projects and programs as promised in the election manifesto. As part of this goal, Bangladesh High Tech Park Authority will provide training to 4,000 youths at the district level.

50 among 3,411 students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) students were chosen based on their rank and are going to participate in a 90-day training in Japan’s ‘Fujitsu Research Institute. The 50 chosen participants will receive training on Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Block Chain and Cyber Security.

Bangladesh must invest in proper

training of specialized labor to be able to fulfill

this demand of migrant workers in foreign countries

A total number of 45,000 people will be provided with the training. More than 11 thousand people have already received the training and have been employed.

Like Japan, many of the developed nations are now facing a shortage of labor. With an aging population, these countries will soon become reliant on migrant workers to sustain their economical development.

Therefore, Bangladesh must invest in proper training of specialized labor to be able to fulfill this demand of migrant workers in foreign countries. This will become a very lucrative source of foreign income for the country if we can capitalize on this opportunity.

Developing countries in Asia are already rapidly building up their skilled labor pools. Creating skilled labor requires a prolonged period of training and experience. Therefore the government must allocate sufficient funds for the youth of each and every district.

With the rise of the fourth industrial revolution, the people of the country must adapt and become skilled in various fields. The development of our country depends on us being able to produce highly skilled workers for both domestic industries as well as foreign industries.
