Six Jamaat men detained in Narail


Narail sadar thana police have arrested six Jamaat activists with jihadi books, bomb making equipment at Tularampur village in sadar upazila of Narail district. According to secret information, a team of police conducted drive at Tularampur village under Sadar upazila on Friday 11:00 am and arrested three Jamaat activists. According to their confession, three more Jamaat activists were arrested next at the same village.

Detained Jamaat activists - Firoza Khanam 40, wife of Zahidur Rahman of Tularampur village, Abdur Rauf Mollah 65, his son Shahidul Islam, 38,Sohag Hossain Bhuiyan (32), son of Amjad Hossain Bhuiyan,Abdus Sobhan Molla 30 son of Belayet Hossain and Alomgir Hossain 40.

Narail Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Elias Hossain said this at a press conference at the police station at around 11:30 am on Saturday.

Narail Sadar thana OC said that on secret information, they found that Jamaat leaders and activists are organizing a secret meeting in Tularampur to unite for the purpose of unrest and destruction.On the basis of information, police raided the village of Tularampur and arrested the six Jamaat activists with jihadi books and bomb making equipment.

A case was filed at Narail Sadar thana in this connection.
