In order to ensure animal nutrition for the people on the occasion of holy month of Ramadan and considering corona situation across the country, activities are underway to sell chicken eggs, beef milk and chicken meat in mobile vehicles.
Under the management of Gopalganj District Livestock Department with the assistance of Bangladesh Dairy Farmers Association (BDFA) and Bangladesh Poultry Farmers Association (BPFA) the sale of these items are going on in the district.
Gopalganj District Livestock Officer (DLO) Md Aziz Al Mamun supervised the activities on Sunday morning. He informed the media that in order to ensure animal nutrition for the people
During this campaign chicken egg is being sold at Tk 7 each, milk Tk 60 per liter, live chicken broiler Tk 125 per kg, cock chicken Tk 160 per kg and Shonali chicken is being sold at Tk 200 per kg.
The people of the district are able to purchase their necessary products at cash price from these traveling vehicles wearing masks and following the hygiene rules. The vehicles are selling these in different areas of the city every day.
Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Livestock Officer (ULO) Dr Govinda Chandra Sardar, Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Priyanka Rani Modak, Livestock Extension Officer (LEO) agriculturist Iti Salehin, Gopalganj Dairy Farmers Association General Secretary Md Asaduzzaman, Live Stock Service Provider (LSP) Biswajit Kar and others were present at the time.
