Popular small-screen actress and model of present times is Safa Kabir, she likes to portray romantic characters in love stories.She made her small-screen debut with Adnan Al Rajeev-directed teleplay titled ‘@18: All Time Dourer Upar’ as the daughter of a house owner and she gave so much to the role that her demand soared immediately and she never had to look back again.
Safa said,‘I enjoy portraying someone in a romantic relationship in small-screen productions. Besides, I am interested in teleplays and drama series which revolve around stories of romantic relationship or unrequited love as they give the younger generation a taste of the way life and relationships are.’
Safa Kabir began her journey as a model. She has acted in nearly a hundred teleplays and drama series, namely ‘Ei Golper Nam Nei’, ‘Mismatch’, ‘Obasheshe Amra’, ‘Potaka’, ‘Soulmate’, ‘Tobuo Bhalobasi’, ‘Tomake Astei Hobe’, ‘Tomar Apon Hater Dole’, ‘Tomar Jonno’, ‘Tonima’, ‘Tumi Bolle’, ‘Valobasa 101’, ‘Ghranush’, ‘Dim Vaji’, ‘Meghla Meghla Din’, ‘Rajkumari’, ‘Tumi Valo Theko’, ‘Bithir Banan Vul Chilo’ and others.
Though she is known for playing romantic characters, she is ready to break the mould and play diverse characters if she gets the chance.
Regarding that Safa said, ‘Though I prefer to play mostly romantic characters because people like to see me in such roles, I also played different characters in many other plays. When I come across a story where I am cast in a serious character, and if I really feel that the character will suit me, I go for it,’ mentioned Safa, who also reflected on her recent ventures. Recently she has been cast in a character of a teenage girl named Riya, in a teleplay titled ‘Je Chhilo Amar’, directed by Sohail Arman bhai.
Although she has not acted in films yet, Safa Kabir has mentioned the possibility of making her film debut in future. She wants to be known as a good actress, and that is her primary goal of life.
