Kolkata director Srijit Mukherji and Bangladesh model and actor Rafiath Rashid Mithila are an open secret. They are in a relationship and no one can deny it. However, recently it has been revealed that they will soon become something more.
Srijit and Mithila are all set to tie the knot on 22nd February according to Indian news outlet Times of India. According to the news published on Monday, the director is currently in Dhaka for the marriage proposal. They will be getting married in February of next year.
However, Srijit has denied that he is in Bangladesh for that purpose. He said, ‘I know Mithila’s family for a long time. I came to visit them in Bangladesh.’ When Mithila was contacted regarding the issue, her cell phone was switched off.
Srijit directed a music video for singer Arnob last March. Since then, Mithila and Srijit have gotten close. Mithila was seen cutting the cake with Srijit on his birthday last September. They were also seen vacationing in Nepal together.
The couple was last spotted in Kolkata International Film Festival. They were also seen together shopping in Gulshan Aarong, and in Folk Fest. Though they feel comfortable appearing in public together, they are now hiding the news of their upcoming wedding.
