A final year RUET student drowned in the River Choto Jamuna in Naogaon on Thursday, reports BSS. The student was identified as Shafi Mahmud Rifat, resident in Komaigari Purbo Para in the town. He is a final year student at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology. Rifat father Sirajul Islam said Rifat drowned yesterday afternoon when he was taking bathe in the river along with his cousin Ullash. Divers from Rajshahi have been searching Rifat for two days. But they could not trace meritorious Rifat yet. Pall of gloom descended in village at the death of Rifat.
