The swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected president and general secretary of the executive council of the biennial general election-2022 of the Bangladesh Sugar Industry Corporation Workers-Employees and the leaders of the 23 full-fledged executive parliament was held on Wednesday at the sugar industry building. State Minister for industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder was present as the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Freedom Fighter Habibur Rahman Siraj, Secretary, Department of Labor and Manpower, Bangladesh Awami League Central Committee, Arifur Rahman Apu, Chairman (Grade-1) BSFIC, Khan Sirajul Islam, Joint General Secretary, National were present as special guests. Sramik League Central Committee and Convener, Sector Corporation Sramik Karmachari Federation Coordinating Council, Chowdhury Ruhul Amin Kaiser, Secretary BSFIC, Engineer Ataur Rahman Khan, President Officers Association BSFIC. Also present on the occasion were Raihanul Haque, General Secretary, Bangladesh Sugar Industry Corporation Workers Federation and Khorshed Alam, Joint General Secretary, Bangladesh Sugar Industry Corporation Workers Federation. The meeting was presided over by Masudur Rahman, President, Bangladesh Sugar Industries Corporation Workers Federation.
Habibur Rahman Siraj, Secretary of Labor and Manpower Affairs of the Bangladesh Awami League Central Committee administered the oath of office to the newly elected leaders of the federation. Raihanul Haque, General Secretary of the Federation delivered the welcome address on the occasion. In his keynote address, State Minister Kamal Ahmed Majumder addressed all the officers and workers of the sugar industry and said, "Institutions will soon get back to the golden past. Arifur Rahman Apu, Chairman (Grade-I) of the company mentioned about taking various steps to reduce the transition period of the sugar mills. Besides, a road map has been formulated to make the sugar industry profitable in the next 5 years by taking measures for alternative production. If we can work together, the company will become a profitable organization by implementing the road map.
