RMCH records zero fatality in Covid unit

Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) recorded zero fatality in its Covid-19 unit again in the last 24 hours till 6am on Saturday after ten consecutive days. 

RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani told journalists the hospital recorded zero deaths on November 17 after six consecutive days. The hospital also recorded zero death on November 7 after another on October 31. However, Saturday's fatality figure was two, taking the figure to 33 so far this month. Earlier, the number of casualties was  100 in October, 167 in September, 340 in August, 566 in July and 405 in June in the Covid unit of RMCH, sources said. 

Meanwhile, four more patients were admitted to the Covid-19 unit during the last 24 hours, taking the number of admitted patients to 37, including six testing positive for Covid-19, at present. 

Six other patients returned home after being cured during the same time. On the other hand, seven more patients tested positive for Covid-19 after testing 184 samples in Rajshahi's two laboratories on Saturday, showing a 3.98 percent positivity rate.
