Rhea to make her Tamil debut

Bollywood girl Rhea Chakraborty is all set to make her Kollywood debut. The actor will be seen playing the female lead in Sanjay Bharathi’s ‘Dhanusu Raasi Neyargalae’ that stars Harish Kalyan.

Sanjay tells us, “I wanted a fresh face for this role. I have seen her films and find her cute and energetic. In fact, Rhea reminds me of Genelia and Nazriya… they have some sort of infectious energy in them. Her role, too, demands that kind of energy. I felt that she would be apt to play this character. So, I met her in Hyderabad for a script narration. She liked her role and mentioned that this would be a good debut for her in Kollywood. She even told me that she follows Tamil films. I am certain that she will quickly pick up the language, too.”

About her role, Sanjay adds, “Her character is fun, but at the same time, not senseless. It is more like work while you work and play while you play. She is fun but also aspires to become something. It is not just a song-and-dance role but a performance-oriented one. In fact, both the heroine characters that I have written are strong. We are yet to finalise the other heroine.” The film’s puja will be held today, and the team will begin shooting, too.
