The students of Comilla University (CoU) formed a human chain with various placards on Wednesday protesting the decision of halting exams and demanded that the decision made on Tuesday be reconsidered.
The human chain was staged in front of the university’s Bangabandhu Sculpture at around 12:30 pm.
Earlier on Tuesday, at least 58 undergraduate and postgraduate final examinations were postponed according the decision of the university authority.
Therefore, the students are at a risk of falling into a terrible session jam again. They alleged that there was no reason to stop the exams due to health cautiousness as situations are normal and everything else is running uninterrupted.
Tamimul Ruhul, a postgraduate student of the Marketing department, said, “Undergraduate and postgraduate courses generally take 5 years together. However, here it takes more than seven years. Who will take the responsibility? The students' dreams are being shattered with the administrations sudden decision.”
