RCCI contributes Taka 2,26,500 to Zakat Fund

Executives and directors of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) handed over a pay order for Taka 2,26,500 as Zakat to the Government Zakat Fund (GZF) here on Wednesday.

 Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of District Zakat Committee Md. Asib Ahsan received the pay order in a simple ceremony held at his office from RCCI President Alhaj Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu.

 RCCI under its corporate social responsibilities contributed to the GZF for public welfare activities like self-employment of the needy, medical activities at the Children's Hospital, scholarships, assistance to the victims of natural calamities, tree plantation and rehabilitation of the disabled and sewing training of the needy women.

 The RCCI leaders, who contributed to the GZF are RCCI President Alhaj Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu, its former President Alhaj Mosaddek Hossain Bablu, incumbent Senior Vice-president Md. Azizul Islam Mintu and Vice-president Monzur Ahmed Azad, Directors Md. Mozammel Haque Dambel, Md. Shajahan Babu, Md. Reaz Shahid Shovan, Md. Amjad Hossain Chowdhury, Md. Obaidur Rahman Ratan, Abu Hena Md. Rezwanul Karim, Md. Zulfiquer Aziz Khan Bhutto, Md. Sabihul Haque and Md. Zaved Hassan.  General Members of RCCI Md. Harun-Ur-Rashid, Mrs. Morsheda Khatun, Md. Azizul Islam Mukul, Sadequwe Hossain Munna and Md. Badruddin Ahmed also contributed to the fund.  Rangpur Divisional Director of Islamic Foundation Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Senior Vice-president of RCCI Md. Azizul Islam Mintu, its Directors Md. Mozammel Haque Dambel, Md. Shajahan Babu, Md. Akbar Ali, Md. Amjad Hossain Chowdhury, Partho Bose and Khemchand Somani Rabi were present at the ceremony.
