Rajshahi Press Club expresses gratitude to PM for assisting journos

Rajshahi Press Club expresses relentless gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her gracious participation in assisting more than 200 mainstream journalists of Rajshahi during this Corona virus situation.

A letter signed by President and the General Secretary Saidur Rahman and Aslam-ud-Dowla respectively of Rajshahi Press Club expresses the gratitude to the Prime Minister for her sincere step to assist the financially vulnerable journalists of Rajshahi during the Corona pandemic.

They further mentioned in letter that like other sectors, the Media houses of the country are also facing crisis during the Corona virus situation. The Muffassil journalists of the country are also hard hit by the crisis. The Prime Minister's step to assist the journalists during this crisis reflects her goodwill and love for the journos that is why they were expressing extreme gratitude towards her.

They said, on the able leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh is proceeding fast toward development. Bangladesh is now a role model of development in various economic index. 

The daughter of Bangabandhu has now turned to a global leader by earning various international recognition and prestigious prizes and medals. She has made unprecedented development in various sectors. There has been a revolution in case of Private television channels as well. PIB is also working successfully to improve the quality of standard of Journalists in the country during her reign. Prime Minister has formed Bangladesh Sangbadik Kalyan Trust for the welfare of the journos. That is why all the journalists are thankful and grateful to her.

The letter further mentioned, Rajshahi Press Club was founded in 1954, by popular leader Ataur Rahman, former District Governor of BAKSAL under Bangabandhu. Rajshahi Press Club has a leading role in our Language Movement and the Struggle for Freedom. Most of the members of this Rajshahi Press Club had then participated into the Freedom Movement and the Language Movement. Till its establishment to this day, Rajshahi Press Club has been working in favour of the Freedom struggle. The members of Rajshahi Press Club has been contributing against the arson, terrorism and militancy of January-5, working in favour of publishing list of anti-liberation forces and Rajakars and demanding to accelerate movement against anti-corruption campaign. 

They also invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to visit Rajshahi Press Club and to offer her a warm, floral tribute hoping she will have her love and blessings for the journalists ever after.
