RAB seizes 735 bottles phesedyl

Pabna RAB-12 camp members arrested four drug dealers while smuggling 735 bottles of phensedyl, a narcotic substance from Shahapur area of Pabna’s Ishwardi upazila on Friday. 

The arrestees were identified as Md. Sagar Bhasha, 29, son of Mokkel Pramanik of  Tingacha village of Pabna, Mohammad Ali, 40, son of Jaj Mia of Ariyani village of Munshiganj, Md. Ekramul, 25, son of Azahar Molla of Dharmadaha village of Kumilla and Md. Yasin Mollah, 18, son of Ripon Mollah of Ghorashal village of Kumilla. 

According to RAB sources, a group of RAB members led by acting Commander of RAB-12 Pabna camp Aminul Kabir Tarafdar was stationed on School Para road in the area on Friday afternoon on secret information of phensedyl being smuggled.

The four men tried to flee when RAB members directed their microbus to stop. However, RAB members arrested them and found 735 bottles of phensedyl searching their bodies and the vehicle.  The RAB also said that these four drug men are involved in drug trade for a long time and have cases lodged against them in several police station. RAB handed them over to Ishwardi police Station later. 

Ishwardi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bahauddin Farooqi said a case was lodged against them under Narcotics Control Act. They were sent to Pabna jail through Pabna court on Saturday.
