RAB-7 has arrested two traders, including a dealer named Mohammad Rashed, on charges of storing TCB products in Chittagong and selling them in the open market.  At that time, TCB recovered 2,000 litres of soybean oil, 1,000 kg of lentils and sugar from the dealer's warehouse.

The RAB carried out the operation in the cement crossing area of the city on Tuesday morning.

The matter was confirmed by RAB-7 Chittagong Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel MA Yusuf.  He said that after receiving information about illegal stockpiling of TCB consumer goods in the warehouse, they raided and found about 2,000 litres of soybean oil, 1,000 kg of lentil pulses and sugar.  Rashed was not present during the operation.  He was later raided and detained for questioning.

He said a large quantity of rice was also seized from the warehouse during the operation.  However, it is being investigated whether they are rice allocated from TCB.
