The Public Administration Day-2023 observed at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on the campus amid festivity and much enthusiasm on Wednesday with ‘Lokproshasoner ongikar, Su-Shason o Jonobandob Sarkar’ titled.
Celebrating the day, IU Public Administration department brought out a colorful procession to the premises of Mir Mosharraf Hossain academic building around 10:30am and ended at the Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Central Auditorium of the university after parading the main thoroughfares of the campus.
Later, a discussion program was held at the auditorium presided over by Professor Dr M Lutfor Rahman, chairman of the department.
IU pro-vice chancellor Professor Mahbubur Rahman addressed the event as chief guest while Treasurer Professor M Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan and Social Science faculty’s dean Professor AKM Motinur Rahman spoke as the special guests.
Professor Dr Fakrul Islam, convener of the Public Administration day celebration committee, delivered the welcome speech at the ceremony. Shammy Akter and Ashikur Rahman jointly conducted the program attended by over hundred students from various sessions of the department. At the beginning of the program, the meritorious students of the department have been rewarded by the chairman’s award for their outstanding academic result. Later, a cultural function was held participated by the students of the department.
