Sheikh Helal Uddin, MP from Bagerhat-1 constituency, distributed relief items among destitute and unemployed people amid the novel coronavirus outbreak ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Monday.
Sheikh Helal Uddin sent food items to Tungipara upazila for distribution. Tungipara Upazila AL leaders distributed the food items including rice, pulses, potatoes, salt, oil, polao rice, powder milk, vermicelli and sugar among home stuck disabled, unemployed helpless people for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, on behalf of the MP at the newly constructed Patgati bus stand in Tungipara Upazila at on Monday afternoon.
At this time Gopalganj district AL unit publicity secretary M. Badrul Alam Badar, General Secretary of Tungipara Upazila AL unit Md. Babul Sheikh, Municipal Mayor Sheikh Ahmed Hossain Mirza and other leaders were present.
M Badrul Alam Badar said on Sunday food items were distributed among 8,100 corona affected families in Tungipara, Kotalipara and municipal area. And on Monday 500 more families received relief in Tungipara upazila at the funding of Sheikh Helal Uddin MP.
The gift items were distributed at the newly constructed Patgati bus stand in Tungipara Upazila at 5 pm on Monday. During the occasion, Gopalganj district Awami League publicity secretary M. Badrul Alam Badar, General Secretary of Tungipara Upazila Awami League Md.
