PM’s achievement celebrated

A jubilant procession was held in Gopalganj on Thursday as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has received the prestigious ‘Vaccine Hero’ award in recognition of Bangladesh’s outstanding success in vaccination to immunise children.

Bangladesh Health Assistant Association and Health Inspector Association jointly organised the programme. The rally started from the premises of District Civil Surgeon after rounded, it ended at DC's office. Later, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) and leaders of Health Assistant Association send greeting message to Prime Minister.

At that time, President of Health Assistant Association Sheikh Rabiul Alom Khokon, Senior Vice-president Hafijur Rahman, member Zakir Hossain Joglu, Monjur Elahi, Bakir Ahmmed, Shahid Shikder, Samir Adhikari, Pronob Bala, Md Emdadul Haque, Likhon along with others were also present.

Meanwhile, Chuadanga district unit of Bangladesh Health Assistant Association held a jubilant rally at Hasan Chattwar in the district town on Thursday.

As part of the central porgramme, Bangladesh Health Assistant Association and Health Inspector Association also jointly arranged jubilant rally in Bogura. A jubilant procession was brought out from Civil Surgeon office in the district town.  Civil Surgeon of Bogura Dr Gausul Azim Chowdhury inaugurated the procession with Azam Uddin in the chair. Dr Tarik Reza and others were present at the time.

Global Alliance for Vaccination and Immunisations (GAVI) conferred the award upon the Prime Minister at a ceremony at the Conference Room 1 of the UN Headquarters.
