Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB arranged a three-day workshop on 'Basic Training in Journalism' for the members of Cumilla University Journalist Association (CoUJA).
PIB Director General Zafar Wajed inaugurated the training workshop in the virtual classroom of the administrative building of the university on Saturday.
PIB's deputy director Zakir Hossain, workshop coordinator Parvin Sultana, Comilla University Teachers Association’s Vice-President Mehedi Hassan, faculty members of different departments, section officer Md Emdadul Haque and trainees were among those who attended the workshop.
Zafar Wajed said, "It is a fundamental right of journalists to access information. The Right to Information Act ensures this right. Hopefully, aspiring journalists will now have the opportunity to develop their skills.”
Different media personnel and experienced trainers of different university will be be present in the three day long workshop organised for the members of the Cumilla University Journalists’ Association.
