The overall physical condition of Ghoraghat Upazila UNO Wahida Khanam improved further. As a result, doctors have decided to transfer her to High Dependency Unit from the Intensive Care Unit, informed Professor Dr. Mohammad Zahed Hosain, Chief of the Medical Board formed to treat UNO Wahida, through a press conference held at the National Institute of Neuroscience Hospital at 12-00 noon on Monday ( 7 Sept.).
Professor Zahed Hossain informed UNO Wahida took liquid diet in the morning. Her conscious level and all other parameters are well bujt due to being a part of the body paralysed, her right body parts yet to need to improve. After obsrevation of 72-hour after an operation of Wahida at the midnight, her health condition was reviewed on Monday morning.
After intensive obervation at the ICU for 72-hour, Medical Board formed for Wahida opined on Monday morning that the physical condition of Wahida has been improved and she does not need further to stay at the ICU. However, Physiotherapy is continuing for development of paralysed right parts of her body. It would take time for a complete cure, opined the physicians. \
Around 3-00 am on last Wednesday miscreants entered into the room of governmenrt staff quarter of Ghoraghat of Dinajpur by breaking ventilator of the room and attacked on UNO Wahid Khanam and her father with hammer and various weapons injuring them fatally.
The next day, UNO Wahida was admitted to Rangpur Community Hospital at first from where she was flown to National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital through air ambulance.
Sheikh Farid, brother of Wahid Khanam filed a case with Ghoraghat thana accusing two annonymous miscreants attempting to kill his sister.
