A motorcyclist was killed and another injured as a pickup van crashed into their bike on the Bypass road in Satkhira Sadar upazila on early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Hazrat Ali, 45, son of Jabed Ali hailed from Alipur village in the upazila. The injured Nazrul Islam is the son of Abdul Aziz hailed from Madhumallar Dangi village of Satkhira town.
The pickup hit the motorcycle around 12:30am, leaving Hazrat dead on the spot, said Mustafizur Rahman, Officer-In-Charge of Sadar Police Station.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy while the injured was sent to Khulna for better treatment, he said.
