Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a man with 8,819 counterfeit revenue stamps in Dewanganj upazila of Jamalpur district on Thursday, reports BSS.
The arrested person was identified as Md Lutfar Rahman, 35, son of Nasir Uddin, a resident of Bacchedpur village of the upazila.
According to Jamalpur RAB-14 sources, acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force raided a factory of 33 No Rased Bidi owned by Md Lutfar Rahman at Bacchedpur village of the upazila and arrested Md Lutfar Rahman with the counterfeit revenue stamps and 1530 packets Rased Bidi.
A case was registered with Dewanganj police station in this regard.
