The Department of Narcotics Control seized 7,000 pieces of Yaba tablets and arrested a drug trader in Kulaghat area under Lalmonirhat Sadar upazila on Thursday night, reports BSS.
“The arrested person is Momidul Islam, 25, son of late Abdus Sobhan of Jhanki area in Rangpur city,” said Assistant Director of the Department of Narcotics Control for Lalmonirhat district Abu Jafar. On a tip off, a special team of Department of Narcotics Control from Lalmonirhat conducted a raid at Ratnai Bridge point around 8:30 pm. Later, the team handed over the arrested person to Lalmonirhat Sadar Thana police after primary interrogation and filing a case, Abu Jafar added.
