Bangladesh reported one death and 198 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours till 8am Wednesday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The positivity rate was recorded at 5.09 percent after testing 3,888 samples across the country.
The country reported one death and 239 new Covid cases in the previous day also.
The Coronavirus has killed 29,309 people and infected 20,08,068 so far, according to the statement.
The recovery count increased to 19,49,540 after another 386 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 1.46 percent died while 97.09 percent Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people, according to the DGHS data.
Among the 29,309 fatalities, 12,895 occurred in Dhaka division, 5,888 in Chattogram, 2,152 in Rajshahi, 3,731 in Khulna, 988 in Barishal, 1,338 in Sylhet, 1,423 in Rangpur and 894 in Mymensingh divisions.
