All government, semi-government and private offices and courts reopened on Monday after the vacation on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha. Apart from this, banks and financial institutions have re-opened.

Although the offices-courts were opened on Monday, the presence of officials and employees was very thin as many officers and employees did not turn up.

Sunday was the last day of a three-day holiday for government officials and employees on the occasion of Eid. The three-day Eid holiday started from August 31.

Although there is no formality to celebrate Eid as before due to the coronavirus pandemic, the officials and employees were seen exchanging Eid greetings with their colleagues amid a festive mood, a sign that the festival zest was still present.

All government officials and employees had been asked not to leave their workplaces during the Eid-al-Adha holidays. Garment workers were also instructed to stay in Dhaka.
