NSTU students operate cleanliness programme in St Martin Island

Students of the 4th batch of Department Of Agriculture in Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) operated a cleanliness programme in St Martin, the costal Island of Bangladesh. This programme was arranged on the occasion of Victory Day 2019 and the theme was "Reduce pollution, save the island".

During the final tour in St Martin, some students spoke with the local administration and the Coastal Guard and later organized the cleanliness program. During  the program, the faculty of Agriculture Department, Professor. Dr.Md. Atiquar Rahman Bhuiyan and Assistant Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam, guided the students. 

The programme started with a cleanup at North Beach of  St. Martin. Teachers , students as well as several tourists and local children were participated in  the program. 

The beach cleanup program was completed with the spontaneous participation of all.

"The purpose of such a program is to create awareness among the people  and to inspire people for good work" said by Professor. Dr.Md. Atiquar Rahman Bhuiyan after completing the program.

"Besides  beach cleaning, the wastage  of the ships needs to be cleanup  because this wastage is dangerous for  marine animals and the environment said by Assistant Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam.

The local shopkeepers and people of various classes praised the exceptional work and praised the organizers for this arrangements.
