NDUB signs MoU with MLCU, India

Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) and Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU), Shillong, Meghalaya, India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (‘MOU’) on 21 May 2019 at NDUB premises.

In the MoU signing ceremony, Vice Chancellor (VC) of NDUB Professor Dr Fr Patrick Gaffney, CSC, Registrar Fr Adam S Pereira, CSC, and Deputy Exam Controller Br Leo J Pereira, CSC were present. From MLCU, VC Dr Vincent T Darlong, Registrar Dr Marina B Marwein, Controller of Evaluation and Examination Dr Maribon Viray were present.

This memorandum is jointly prepared to encourage long term academic cooperation between NDUB and MLCU and hereby agree to foster academic exchange and cooperation. Both the organizations will encourage the following academic activities of mutual interest.

The two universities shall exchange academic staff/researchers/experts for delivering of lectures, exchanging of views and expertise for both long term and short term duration, conducting joint academic research for a period of time as agreed upon in advance by the relevant authorities in the two universities, participating in conferences, seminars and similar activities organized by either institute. 

Furthermore, the two universities shall encourage joint and specialized conferences and seminars and the topic of these activities shall be agreed upon in advance, also shall exchange research papers, dissertations and thesis, as well as encourage their academic staff and researchers to publish their researches in the refereed journals of the two universities.

In addition, two universities shall have some waiver on research publication related cost/fee, and provide residential benefits for short term researchers.

For students’, the two universities shall exchange the visit of student delegations, shall have some tuition fee waiver for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level students’ level taking non-degree courses, and shall provide residential benefits for graduate, undergraduate and doctoral level student exchange programme.
