With the slogan of 'Open sanitation for all, ensure healthy life' and Clean hands for all’, National Sanitation Month October has been observed through a colourful rally and discussion in Ishwardi on Thursday.
Upazila administration and Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) jointly organised the programme with the help of BRAC at the premises of Upazila Parishad.
A colourful rally was brought out from the premises of Upazila Parishad and ended at the same place after rounded the town.
Later, a discussion meeting was held at Upazila Auditorium. UNO of Ishwardi upazila Momtaj Mahal presided over the meeting, while Upazila chairman Nurujjaman Biswas spoke as the chief guest and Assistant Engineer of Upazila DPHE Mahabub Islam spoke as the special guest.
At that time, Upazila Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Khan, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Selim Akhter, Academic Supervisor Ariful Haque along with others were also present.
