Bangladesh are busy preparing for the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan. The final squad for the series has not yet been announced. Most of the cricketers who took part in the just-concluded World Cup, as well as a few new recruits, have started training in Mirpur. However, it is noteworthy that the experienced Mushfiqur Rahim is not seen with the team even after returning to the country after a holiday.

Mushfiqur batted with the red ball with Mehdi Hasan Miraj separately, which is a sign that he might not play white-ball cricket (T20). Mushfiqur may not have a place in the squad for the three-match T20 series against Pakistan. Speculation is rife that he is only preparing for the two-match Test series.
