Multiple rly facilities underway for passengers: Minister

Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan said, "We have taken multiple activities to increase the facilities of the passengers. We have started the activities to get out of the allegations of receiving tickets for so long, which is coming into effect from Wednesday.”

The Railway Minister said this on the introduction of the smart railway station at the Kamalapur Railway Station today by registering through the national identity card to launch the inter -city train ticketing system and transfer the pose machine to the ticket checking system.

The Railway Minister said at the time, "We have added the national identity card to the passengers to get more opportunities and to cut their tickets without any black market." "This is not the end, we will reform more with the opinion of all, including the passengers," he said. He mentioned that the main point is that tickets cannot be purchased without national identity cards and without registration and no one can travel now only the inter -city train is being launched, it will be implemented on the local train periodically. The minister further mentioned that if traveling on the other ticket from now on, legal action will be taken against him as a ticket passenger. Besides, posses are being provided to the TT’s. Through this, they will collect money from the passengers of the ticket and the money will be deposited directly in the government treasury. The allegations against the TTEs have long been deposited in the government sector will also be stopped through it.

The minister mentioned at the time that we are handing over a hundred machines together and those who run them have been brought under training. Besides, one more benefit is being implemented from today to cancel the ticket online anymore. Tickets can be canceled online from today. The minister said that I visited the counter and saw the spontaneous response from the passengers.

The minister also mentioned that in the future we will be able to increase more facilities for the passengers. Responding to a journalist's question, the minister said that NID has no opportunity to smuggle information because we have signed an agreement with the concerned authorities. We will take as much information as needed and the information will be associated with the original server.

Later, the minister exchanged views with the passengers on the Rangpur Express train leaving Dhaka.
