Deputy Commissioner of Jhenidah Saroj Kumar Nath inaugurated a Muktijuddho Corner at Jhenidah Press Club following observance of the National Mourning Day-2019 on Thursday.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Jhenidah Sadar upazila Shammi Islam designed this corner, where a number of photographs and events of liberation war were placed.
Superintendent of police in Jhenidah Mohammad Hasanuzzaman, Jhenidah municipality mayor and general secretary of district Awami League Saidul Karim Mintu, Jhenidah Sadar UNO Shammi Islam were present at the inaugural session, among others.
Saroj Kumar Nath said it will be helpful to publicize the message among the people throughout the country to provide accurate information on liberation war of 1971 as the history of liberation war has been somehow distorted by some unscrupulous people since immediate after the independence.
