Mother, 2 daughters slaughtered in N’ganj

A mother and her two child daughters were killed in their tenant residence by unknown criminals at CI Khola area of Shiddhirganj in Narayanganj in any time on Wednesday night.

The deceased were identified as Nasrin, 26, wife of Sumon Mia, and their daughters Nusrat 8, and Khadiza 2.

Nasrin’s niece Sumaiya 15, was also stabbed and she is now under treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Police suspect a man who is known Abbas, husband of Nasrin’s sister might have committed killing for family dispute.

At about 11 am on Thursday, Nasrin’s husband Sumon Mia returned home after completion of his job at a petrol pump of Shiddhirganj area and found that the door of his flat on fifth floor opened and his wife, two daughters killed with knifed.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered all three deceased and injured one from the flat.

A forensic expert team of CID rushed to the spot and collected physical evidence, and then allowed entering the media men into flat.

Police super of Narayanganj Md. Harun-or-Rashid, additional SP Monirul Islam visited the crime spot and assured the bereaved family with saying that the killer would be arrested soon.

Nasrin hails from Patuakhali district and hes husband Sumon Mia is inhabitant of Shiddhirganj thana in Narayanganj. They used to live in a tenant flat of Anwar Hossain house. Sumon works at Jonaki petrol pump of Shiddhirganj area.

Officer-in-Charge of Shiddhirganj Police Station Kamrul Fauk said, “We find a  clue  that a dispute was going on in between Nasrin’s husband Sumon Mia and Nasrin’s sister husband Abbas. So, we are trying to capture and interrogate Abbas, and then all mystery behind killing will come to light.”
