DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon on Tuesday paid a visit to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital to see the patients suffering from dengue fever there. High officials of the Dhaka South City Corporation accompanied the mayor during his visit to the hospital. During his visit, he talked to the patients and inquired of their health condition.
While talking to newsmen, Mayor Khokon reiterated his firm determination to fight the dengue menace in the city. "We are trying most to tackle it. Our mosquito killing efforts has already started. Besides, makeshift medical teams are awaiting to launch task," he said mentioning that the extent of Dengue outbreak is higher than the previous year in Dhaka.
Sayeed Khokon also reiterated his commitment to supply the city residents with medicine for free. "We are trying our level best to destroy mosquitoes. Hope we will be succeed," added the DNCC mayor urging awareness and assistance from the city residents.
