Maritime Ports asked to continue hosting signal no 3


Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three as squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, reports BSS.

A low was seen over north Odisha-Gangetic West Bengal coast and adjoining, according to a met office weather bulletin on Saturday. Under its influence steep pressure gradient persists over North Bay, squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, the bulletin added.
