The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number 3 as deep conviction is taking place over North Bay and adjoining coastal area due to formation of a low there.
“Deep convection is taking place over North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh. So maritime ports are advised to hoist local cautionary signal No. three,” said a met office weather bulletin on Friday.
All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice. Besides, southwest monsoon has advanced up to northwestern part of Bangladesh covering Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions, said Met office Friday.
