A man was allegedly killed by his brother and his nephew over a family feud in Bagdanga village under Sadar Upazila of Jashore district on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Akbor Ali 55, son of Aju Mollah hailed from the Upazila.

Quoting family members, Munsi Anisur Rahman Officer-in-Charge of Sajiali Police out post, said Aju Mollah went to his Brother Nur Islam’s house to settle a family feud on Tuesday night. At one stage, Nur Islam and his son Enamul Islam stabbed him at random.

Locals rescued and sent him to Jashore General Hospital when his condition worsened; the doctor referred him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He died at around 11 pm on Wednesday while undergoing treatment.

Several police teams are working to arrest the accused said Munsi Anisur Rahman. A case was filed in this connection.
