DB police of Khulna detained one person with foreign made pistol and three rounds of bullet from Hasanpur of Dumuria upazila in Khulna on Monday.
The detainee was identified as Liton Bissash alias Liton Dewan, 38, son of Abul Kashem Bissash of Mikshimil village under Dumuria upazila in Khulna.
Tofael Ahmad, officer-in-charge of district Detective Branch, confirmed the matter. He said, being tipped off, a check post was set up on a bridge at Hasanpur kheya ghat area under Dumuria upazila on Monday. At 8pm, three motorcyclists were crossing the bridge. When police instructed them to stop, they tried to escape the spot. Though two can abled to flee the spot, Liton Bissash was captured. At that time police seized a foreign made pistol and three rounds of bullet from him.
A case was filed with Khulna Dumuria Police Station in this regard.
Mentioned, more 5 or 6 cases were filed against him for accusing extortion, drugs and kidnapping.
