Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has requested all to maintain austerity in all fields in the wake of global inflationary situation. When the abnormal rise in prices of essential commodities has intensified miseries to the pandemic-hit low and fixed income people, the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war has plunged them into a deep crisis afresh. So, the sufferings are even more for the middle-class people because they cannot express or share with others that they have little or no food at their homes.
Both poor and middle income groups are bearing the brunt of price hike as they were struggling with the previously skyrocketing prices already. The whole world is currently going through an extreme economic crisis caused by pandemic and Russia-Ukraine war.
We believe the government led by Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina who fought against the Covid-19 calling it a “war” and kept the country’s all sectors alive throughout the last two years amid many hurdles, has the capacity and wisdom to tackle any sorts of crisis and overcome the hard time in the days to come. Braving all sorts of hurdles and odds, her government would continue pulling the country towards development.
We hope the gloomy cloud that
covered the country’s economy
will disappear soon
When many foreign countries suffered a deep economic recession caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Bangladesh tackled the situation making the right decision and doing the right thing throughout the year.
Many predicted that Bangladesh, one of the world's most densely-populated countries would be affected badly by the Covid19 pandemic. Many world leaders and head of the sates lauded Bangladesh’s remarkable economic growth amid the Covid-19 pandemic and attainment of capability in facing climate change challenges under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Our economy is still in good shape and also heading towards the right direction despite the impact of Coronavirus pandemic coupled with Russia-Ukraine war now taking a toll on the global economy. The government will be determined to overcome the current crisis, save lives and accelerate economic recovery. It is our moral obligatory to respond to the prime minister’s call and cooperate with her government so that we all would be benefitted.
Increasing of financial and business activities during Eid-ul-Azha provided huge cash flow, gearing up the businessmen, traders and even footpath hawkers as well. As people’s movement since Eid holiday continued showing an upward trend, a huge amount of cash money is also being transacted in the transport sector. Besides, the foreign currency reserve and inflow of remittances are also rejuvenating the country’s financial sector. Apart from these, the country’s export earnings growth rate has also shown a positive trend brought smiles to the business community. We hope the gloomy cloud that covered the country’s economy will disappear soon.
