Some local people were accused of attacking a family of minor community with the attempt to grab land of the family in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital.
Jagadish Chandra Dhar, the victim, filed a written complaint with Savar Model Police Station in this connection.
Hamidur Rahman, Sub-Inspector of Savar Model Police Station, confirmed the matter on Tuesday morning. Legal action will be taken after investigate the matter, he added.
The accused are Md. Shafi Mia 38, Md. Habi Mia 35, Md. Owaj Uddin Ahmed, 33. They are sons of Md. Sahaj Uddin of Khidrogati area of Rajfulbaria in Savar.
According to complaint, the accused along with some unidentified miscreants attacked the victim’s house and tried to grab their land, around 85 decimals, and beaten two family members on October 26 around 9:00am. Later, the accused escaped when locals rushed there after hearing the screams of the family.
Jagadish Chandra Dhar said, “The accused were trying to grab our 85 decimal of land for a long time. Earlier, they filed a case with Dhaka court against us by making some false documents. But, the court ruled in our favor. On October 26, the accused attacked on us once again.”
