Bangladesh-India ties to get stronger

The nation celebrated golden jubilee of its independence on Friday. Throughout the day, grand celebration was held for the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and 50 years of Bangladesh’s independence, which was marked by the attendance of five heads of states and virtual attendance of other influential global leaders. 

The main attraction on Friday was the presence of charismatic Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His presence lifted the Independence Day celebrations to a whole new level. 

Neighbouring India played pivotal roles in Bangladesh’s independence by providing arms, ammunition, training and shelter to millions of Bengalis. Since then both Bangladesh and India have always been a close ally with each other and therefore Modi’s visit paid huge significance.

During his speech at the National parade ground, Modi emphasized the strong bond between both the nations and how both the countries are working and supporting each other in every sector of development. 

Bangladesh momentously appreciates the help and friendly words from the Indian Prime Minister, and on this joyous occasion, our nation reminiscence the role of the Indian government and its people during our liberation war.

PM Modi also stressed on investment in India from the Bangladeshis, where he wants 50 entrepreneurs from Bangladesh to invest in various sector of India. 

This will further make the human capital and economic ties stronger between both the nations. Bangladesh-India relations went through lots of ups and downs, but with the recent visit of the Indian PM the future looks bright and we should take lessons from the past to build a bright future.
