Bangladesh's preparations for the upcoming five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe were jolted on Tuesday by an injury scare to their star opener Litton Das.

Das, known for his aggressive batting, sustained a back injury during a fielding practice session at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, where the Tigers are currently training for the series opener on Friday, May 3rd.

The incident occurred in the morning session as the team underwent intense training in their final preparations for the Zimbabwe series.

Details regarding the severity of the injury remain unclear.

Following the back issue, Litton was forced to leave the field immediately.

The newly appointed spin-bowling coach, Mushtaq Ahmed, rushed to attend to him and provide initial massage treatment.

However, with the pain persisting, Litton proceeded to the dressing room accompanied by physiotherapist Bayjedul Islam Khan.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has yet to offer any official update regarding the seriousness of the injury or Litton's availability for the series opener.

With the five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe just days away, any absence of Litton Das would be a significant blow to Bangladesh's batting line-up. Fans will be eagerly awaiting further reports on his condition and hoping for a swift recovery.
