Two people were killed when lightning struck them at Burirchar union of Hatia upazila of the district last morning, reports BSS.
The victims are Abul Kalam, 50, son of Jainal Abedin of Boro Daele village of the upazila and Quamrul Islam, 40, son of Abul Kalam of the same village. Burirchar union parishad chairman Zia Ali Mobarak Kallol said, they were killed by lightning while they went to the field for bringing their cow.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hatia Police station, Abul Khayer confirmed the incident.
