Libel complaint against N’ganj MP rejected

Awami League backed former lawmaker of Narayanganj constituency-3 Abdullah Al Kaisar Hasnat submitted a defamation petition to the judicial magistrate court against the same constituency Jatiya Party backed sitting lawmaker Liyakot Hossain Khoka on December 30.

The petition was moved to the senior judicial Magistrate Ahmed Humayun Kabir court.

The court after concluded hearing from the petitioner pleader passed an order rejecting the petition, court inspector Asaduzzaman asserted the information.

Kaisar Hasnat in his submission stated that the sitting lawmaker on December 26 evening in a meeting at ward-1 of municipality delivered a derogatory speech addressing him and his late mother which tarnished his image.  

The lawyer of the petitioner Md. Jasimuddin told the media that his client was hurt by such speech of sitting MP Liyakot Hossain Khoka and being failed to get an apology from MP Khoka his client has no other way to file defamation petition asking compensation of 50 crore taka to continue his political image.
