Published : 29 Apr 2022 08:07 PM

And there are only a few days left for Eid-Ul-Fitr. Last minute shopping is in full swing in the market stalls of Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga. The market area has become popular for people of all ages starting from children to elderly.

The sellers do not have time to catch their breath as there is an overflowing crowd of buyers. On Wednesday, festive mood was seen in various markets and shops of Tarafdar Market, Upazila Market, Krishi Market, Moksed Super Market and other markets of Jibannagar upazila. Shops now have become the talk of the town.

At the last moment, there seems to be a massive buzz in the trade. This phenomenon can be seen in other upazilas of Chuadanga district.

Talking to traders, it has been learned that the main attraction of Eid-ul-Fitr this time is ‘Puspa shirt’. The pressure of market-oriented buyers is increasing, ignoring the scorching heat and sun since morning.

The traders are struggling under the pressure of the buyers who come for Eid shopping. Since noon, there is no place to set foot as the number of buyers has been increasing in almost every market and shopping mall. The price of ‘Kacha Badam’ Tee-shirt is Tk 150 to 160 Tk.

Also, shirt from the famous Telugu movie Puspa The Rise for men is also being demanded heavily. Buyers are looking for a dress with this name. Each Puspa T-shirt is being sold at Tk 400 to Tk 500 and pants at Tk 700 to Tk 750.

Jivannagar police officer in charge (OC) Abdul Khaleq said the police administration has taken steps to provide extra security to shoppers and buyers around Eid. Our team is always on patrol.
