Land Service Week-2022 is being celebrated in Banshkhali with the theme "Land Services Digital, Changing Days".
The program started on Thursday morning by setting up a booth in the Citizens Corner of the Upazila Land Office. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Umar Farooq presided over the function. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saiduzzaman Chowdhury was present as the chief guest.It was attended by all the officials and tehsildars of the Upazila Land Office and all the journalists and public representatives of the upazila including dignitaries of the area.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Umar Faruq said that all the activities directed by the Ministry of Land are being implemented on the occasion of Land Service Week.
Progress has been made in various activities under the theme of "Accepting digital land services without coming to the land office".
He said the Banshkhali Land Office and Union Land Offices are already working to ensure land services as directed by the Land Ministry. Registration is being done for complete e-naming, collection of land development tax and online land development tax, daily public hearings, handing over of lands and documents of settled land among the landless, holding public hearings in open space, expeditious disposal of miscellaneous, Various activities are being carried out including raising awareness through miking, recovery of evicted khas lands, recovery of khas lands for construction of Mujib's house, lease of Sairat Mahal online, recovery of lease renewal fee of VP property, recovery of khas lands through mobile courts, canals, rhyme recovery.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saiduzzaman Chowdhury said that the Upazila Land Office has made extensive preparations for the celebration of Land Service Week. It is working relentlessly to create awareness among the people about online land services to bring services to the doorsteps of the people.
