State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru on Thursday laid importance on further digitalisation of the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry to ensure prompt services for citizens, reports BSS.
“We have already contracted with the authorities of Bangabandhu Satellite to bring fisheries boats under digital monitoring…Work is underway to set up digitalized devices and machines for observing fishing boats”, a press release here quoted him as saying. Khasru made the remarks while addressing the wrap up ceremony of a workshop titled ‘Digital Service Design Lab’, jointly organised by the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry and A2i, Access to Information Programme ran from the Prime Minister’s Office of Bangladesh.
The programme was presided over by Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Secretary Raisul Alam Mandal. Additional secretary of the ministry Kazi Wasiuddin, joint secretary Towfiqul Arif, chief strategist (e-governance) of A2i Forhad Zahid were also present.
