A youth has reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree at Dorzimati village under Kanaighat upazila in Sylhet. Police recovered the body on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain, 22, son of Abul Hossain of Tinchhati Noyagram of the upazila. He was rickshaw puller by profession.
Locals said that Alamgir left his home in mid night. He did not return home. The locals saw his hanging body in the morning.
Local UP member Saidur Rahman informed the matter to the police.
Later, the police recovered the body and sent it Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
