Police detained a Jubo League activist from Awami League conference in Rajshahi with one bottle of phensedyl on Sunday morning.
The activist was identified as Hasan Kabir, 35, son of Abdul Aziz of Domkuli village in Godagari upazila.
Mostak Hossain, sub-inspector of Rajpara police station, said police arrested Hasan with phensedyl during the district Awami League conference at the field of Mahila Krira Complex in the city while he tried to entering the conference through the main entrance.
He has been already taken to the police station. Legal steps against Hasan would be taken immediately, said the SI.
