Awami League presidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak commented that Jasad Gana Bahini was created as a place for the opposition party of the liberation war. He said this at the mourning day meeting of the women's affairs sub-committee of the Awami League central office on Friday afternoon.

Nanak said, Pakistan wanted to endanger our freedom by bringing in Ziaur Rahman, Khandkar Mushtaq, in the war of liberation. Failed and started the Bangladesh Conspiracy for Independence. That day there was unrest in our party, that unrest did not bring good results.

He said, "General Ziaur Rahman could not accept the independence of Bangladesh. The organization named Bangladesh Muslim Bangla was established in 1972 because the Mushtaqs could not accept independent Bangladesh.

They have killed many leaders and workers of Awami League across the country. At that time, differences were created between the opposing forces of the liberation war. To discuss history I must tell the truth. On that day, the creation of the Jasad, the creation of the People's Army became a place for the opponents of the Liberation War. There was a lot of propaganda against us that day."

Nanak, a member of the presidium of Awami League, said that the people of the country did not feel the strike of the Left Alliance and said that today Bangladesh under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina stands tall in the court of the world. Then some evil forces entered the field to oust Sheikh Hasina from power.

Urging party leaders to be careful, Nanak said, “We have to be very careful. They are back again. They will not allow Bangladesh to stand tall in the court of the world. That is why Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir came down. You are following the footsteps of Pakistani oppressors. There was a grenade attack in this country on August 21. Civil society did not speak after the killing of 15 August 75 in this country. However, they talk big today. Be careful about those civils today. And we have to increase the involvement with the people."

Awami League's joint general secretary AFM Bahauddin Nashim said, "Why could we not build effective resistance and protest on that day?" We could not protest on the streets, we have to talk about that failure. We have to take responsibility for this failure.

Bahauddin Nashim said that the election is really the defeated forces start a new conspiracy. Their purpose is to conspire against the country, to conspire against the elections, to conspire against the Awami League. They will not allow the conspiracy to succeed. Leaders and activists of Awami League will unite and build resistance against them. Like in the past, this time also they have to stop their conspiracy.

Awami League Advisory Council Member Sultana Shafi presided over Awami League Women Affairs Secretary Meher Afroz Chumki, Central Member Marufa Akhtar Popi, Women Awami League President Safia Khatun and General Secretary Mahumuda Begum were present at the discussion.
